DRK donation badges

The Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (DRK/German Red Cross) collected money to finance charity work, like the WHW did. They also distributed Spendenbelege (donation badges), as did the WHW. These are often an overlooked or dismissed aspect of German militaria. Here are some of mine. The numbers after each piece is the relevant Tieste classification number. For those that don't know, Reinhard Tieste is the acknowledged authority on the WHW and other similar organisations, in regards to their donation badges.

T001, Glasplakette. These were made of glass, and distributed on the 10. Juni 1934. 6 million were manufactured for Rotkreuztag 1934 (Red Cross Day).

T002, Kunststoffplakette . These were made of plastic, and distributed on 22/23 Juni 1935, and there were 7,173,000 manufactured for Rotdreuztag (Red Cross Day) 1935. It bears the script Helft Uns Helfen! (Help us help).

T003, Porzellanabzeichen. These were made of porcelain and distributed on the 13/14. Juni 1936. There were 9,550,000 manufactured for Rotkreuztag 1936.

The DRK released a collection called Soldaten und Waffen der deutschen Wehrmacht (soldiers and weapons of the German Armed Forces). There were 12 in the collection, they were made of plastic, and distributed on the 17/18. August 1940. The first one is T008, Fallschirmjäger
