by whirlygig on 10 Aug 2012 22:30 I have recently repaired one of these radio's. Having never used a TRF radio i was wondering if someone would kindly translate section 16 of the user manual for me. The radio works fine but crackles when first switched on then settles down. I have replaced all the old wax and electrolytic capacitors for new modern ones, and now the radio sounds great. I will post the section i would like translated and pic of the radio....Hope someone can help,,,Thank you,,,Whirlygig.
Crackling problem solved, the 74 year old on/off switch was dirty, works perfectly now cleaned.
