12th US Air Force grouping of Lt. Richard Earl Brink
Hello all,
I wanted to share this fantastic grouping with you. Distinguished Flying Cross recipient (and a picture of him being awarded it) as well as the Air Medal. There are photos of him wearing this actual uniform. He was aboard the "Big Jamoke" a B-25 Mitchell. Beautiful bullion patches on the Officer's khaki shirt. The 32R pinks pants are named as well. All of his maps from his bomber runs (he bombed Italy & Germany) as well as his dogtags are present as well. Named field manual. Winter-weight tunic is dated December 1, 1942. Luxenberg brass insignia. Pinback sterling silver bombardier wings. Too many photos to show. I have an entire folder containing every single love-letter he wrote to his sweetheart back home during the war. His short snorter 1935 silver certificate dollar bill is included and signed by several people. There's just so much here, newspaper clippings, photos of his wife, portraits, the list goes on and on. I have not truly researched this grouping and any additional information you could provide that is relevant would be greatly appreciated. This grouping should be in a museum, this truly is an amazing time capsule.
