Well, my dad is parting out his Korea War militaria , starting to send me his old uniforms,DI's,pictures, patches, etc. This is one of those really big ones,he has 2 different, I got this one, now wait for the pother.
I guess he is getting tired at 86 years old.

I'm sure your Dad knows his stuff will be appreciated and wants to know they're in safe hands.... Patch is typical of Japanese and Korean embroidery from the period.... please share his other items as they arrive. I believe the Koreran War deserves as much recognition and rememberance as WW 2 .... and they (the vets) MUST be included among the "Greatest of Generations" ....
Thank your Dad for his service for "me"....
I wish him continued "long life" and sincere best wishes...

The patch shown was made in Korea and was normally sewn on the back of tour Jackets. There are many different designs used in bright colors showing the dates the person was in country.

I had all but forgot about this, I have it stored somewhere. And yes, these are as described by 34bdq, and are quite common, I buy them for an average of $20.00 (Korea War era vintage)
