I don't think it's real. In February 1945 the 4. SS-Frw.Pz.Gren.Brigade Nederland was renamed to the 23. SS-Frw.Pz.Div. Nederland, but it was more or less just and administrative. I can hardly image that a dagger with this name would have been produced.

So it would have been originally an actual authentic WW2 bayonet however some numb nuts has gone and engraved on it.

Total crap.... these came in nearly every possible "SS Div./Regt." that was identified at the time... still fool the novice and "closet collectors" occassionally but aren't worth anything.. IMHO!

When they "engraved" them, surplus M98 bayonets were $8./10. each, and initially many fell for them... so big $$$$$ at the time was made.

If such an engraved SS bayonet had existed, it would be worth ALOT MORE than 250pds.

John G.

I'm sure there are "collectors" who collect these AS fakes... but NO ONE I KNOW. (Bad investment IMHO)
