Hello everyone! :milwink:

I found in the attic of an old house very interesting mug.

Signature on the bottom: G. WIENINGER SEN. MUNCHEN 50.
Just like the picture on the bottom right side (the link) http://www.steinmarks.co.uk/pages/pv.asp?p=stein278

Beuthen (BYTOM) is a city located in Silesia in POLAND.

I do not know what was used. I do not know when it was manufactured. What could be the value of this item?.
PLEASE ALL INFORMATION.

* I don't remember the inscription. I made photos quickly and not exactly..
* I can not do better pictures at the moment. Mug is in my second home, I forgot to take :?

These mugs were popular "Souviners of My Servicetime" keepsakes, and were functional for drinking "Beer" from....most are prewar but some will date into the war years...these are highly prized nowadays, and some can be quite expensive!

Yours does have some problems....worse is the lid- it appears to me missing a "top disc/inlay" and has some heavy dings- plus the lettering appears badly faded (Some idiot put this in the Dish Washer!)....however, it is to "Polizei Abteilung Beuthen" which makes it alittle scarcer than some.... I can't see enough details to say if it's real 100% (They do fake as well as "alter" old mugs into 3rd Reich versions)...

Assuming it's 100% original "as is"......I'd estimate it's value around $200./250.00, which is the low end of the scale for these....they run from $200.00 to $650.00 for most examples....though some can go MUCH HIGHER!
IMO, pricewise...of course!

Hi,
Seems nice, but I would pass this one. Eastern fake,in my opinnion. Dish-washer is much faster than 10years under ground.
