Japanese made Nazi flag?

Hello all,

I was told I was a fool for not buying this leather cornered flag as I deemed it a reproduction produced in the 1970's - was I mistaken? I was told this one was authentic because the seller dealt with textiles and was familiar with flags.

Are these actually legit in the eyes of experienced collectors and of WW2 era manufacture?

I was always under the impression these were fake, what's your opinion?

Please let me know either way. Thank you.

Yes, William , as over at WAF, tell the seller to go suck an egg. These are just like these I own, except of course mine are Kriegs. The one you pic. has it seems fake leather corners?? The threaded *ties* are way to thin anyhow..

There are Japanese made "Swastika" flags that are original....some with corner tabs, etc. .....but knowing which are vintage and which are modern is the problem....

I "like" the material and quality of the "silk-screened" swastika and the flag itself.....I don't like the corner ties or the ties themselfs....not typical Japanese Wartime IMO.....so it would be a "judgement call" at best....and IMO a "Japanese version of this type flag" would only be $100.00 +/- and always be "of questionable origins".....

I wouldn't say you missed anything with this one.....
