Have only found 1 for sale, and no attached pics. on ANY internet site, and I have done some serious web searching.
One for sale here in Cleveland, nice Tri ribbon with the *Mattese style cross*
I have been on militaria medal and award sites based in Deutschland and still have not found a pic. Kave looked at one here, have had it in hand, might consider buying.

Sounds like a "Carnival" or "Festival" medal.....probably 350th anniv. of founding of Dusseldorf [1935]... (or)....but without seeing it and really knowing what you're talking about - just guessing. Most "Carnival" medals are "Non-political" (without a swastika), which usually keeps thier interest and value low....however, those that do have "NSDAP" symbolism or those made of real "silver or gold" can have significant value.

The tri-fold ribbon also indicates this is a non-official award (for Germany)....usually reserved for shooting, sports, & "Carnival-type" medals.

John G. Possible. Though I came across last night a description of a WW1 era Imperial German Army medal bar on a German language medal/awards site, and one of the medals was describred as one I am seeking info for but could not upload pic.
Well, it is in a riker mount along with silver wound badge.ID booklet, a couple rings, a ratings badge, so if I decide to get it, and cheap, ( make my money back off of others in Riker) will keep this medal for future searches

Here is the Riker with various relics. See the medal in question?

Wound badge is relic condition, rings are modern biker crap...

The style of the ribbon would suggest Austrian. Check this out Mark:

Mark,
This is a very typical "Festival" or Carnival medal....just as I said. Would have some interest but NOT MUCH! It's NOT AUSTRIAN, it's exactly what I thought it was from your discription. It's not a STATE MEDAL or ANYTHING with any OFFICIAL (except to the local community) status....you can't make a silks purse out of a cows ear!
