No idear what nationality or vintage...."green" (?) leather loops & fittings and the "square loop" D-ring for equipment straps do look Italianish IMO....but could be nearly "anyones" guess.... certianly "military" (or related) pouch of some kind. Don't recognize the circular stamping....but my knowlege of web gear (European/East Block) pretty much ends with "WW 2"...

This should really have been posted in the "Militaria/Collectaible" section..

One thing's for sure: It's not likely to be WW2 German.

However, looking over some books in my shelf of various webbing setups- could possibly be a late/post-war American map-case or supply pouch e.t.c (E.g tools, rations, cleaning pieces, maps e.t.c) Though don't point me on that one.

I could go to the other, far end and be related to the Armies of surrounding nations possibly late/post-war again. Originating from Sweden, Norway, Denmark and to the extreme- Latvia/Estonia/Lithuania.

Not really defining it's origin- it's even stumped John!

Though i think you'd be best to look at surrounding Baltic/Scandinavian nations just in case.
