Is this armband genuine? Have searched all over www and cannot find another pic of one. European origin?or early USA?

"Unknown" to me..... my "impression" would be either a wartime or early postwar occupation-made "Tanker" truck drivers Armband (using "locals" as drivers) or possibly a pre-war "training" armband.... lettering don't appear "American"- could be German as "Tanker" (Fuel Truck type) translates the "same" in english.... can't really tell if it US, German, or who ever might have made it from the one picture....color & sewing does suggest German ???
I'd say it's worthy of keeping until proven otherwise.... better pictures might help "guess"......
