BDM Flag

#1

Post by tobstein » 09 Jul 2014, 13:35

Hello...

I just found this BDM flag.
What do you think...could it be genuine or a fake?
And how much would it be worth...?

And can anybody tell me what this 13/475 means and where this BDM group or whatever was located...?

Thanx in advance.

tobstein,
There is a new generation of very high quality fake Pennants and vehicle flags coming out of "Europe", which are extremely high quality and have "chain stitched" features... I don't know if this is one of them.... but I'd be leary unless I knew where it came from!

There are threads on the "Wehrmacht Awards Forum" about these pennants, worth reading up on before I took the plunge.

That said....construction, materials, and hardware all look period.... the removed paper tag does give "pause" (why removed from otherwise minty pennant)...

Just food for thought. Can't help on details (Unit, etc.)

John G.

thanks for your opinion.
This pennant came from the dealer Helmut Weitze, Hamburg.
I think he's well-known and normally would sell no fakes...I hope :D
