Real or Reproduction - German Navy officers dagger

This has the inscription on the blade showing it as a Eickhorn dagger. Do you guys think this is real or a reproduction? How do I tell? Thanks

Original Naval dagger... Knot might not be proper, I'd have to refresh my memory on that...

You tell by knowing what originals look like... few reproductions are ANYWHERE near the quality of originals.... but it takes many years to learn ....

It's original but is frayed of natural wear.
A new one portepee costs $175.00 8O
