A deceased family friend brought back from a flea market in eastern europe 20 years ago. Is this stick real? Any history? No markings at all looks very old. Can you help me appraise this piece? It is a walking stick that looks like the handle is died black bone with brass deaths head and eagle insignias. It is hollow with a sword inside of it very sharp. Thank you

I would need proper photos of the insignia ... it's obviously not pre-May '45 but the insignia may be original.

I look forward to straight on and in focus photographs.

Agree with Ian... Sword Cane part is "tourist quality Crapola" but the insignia need a closer look...

No better shots required, sadly both are poor fakes. Personally I'd say it was made within the past 10 years ... that eagle hasn't been around too long. The skull is a poor casting of the Deschler-style.

Cheers, Ian.
