Prussian lifesaving OK?

#1

Post by JeroenPollentier » 02 Dec 2014, 17:00

Hello, I would like to ask your opinion on this one. It appears to be the last type (1907-1918).

The small pics are from the dealer's site, the big ones are extras that I asked for.

Does it look good to you? The "big ring" is a bit bent, I don't mind about that, but is it original to the medal?
Also, onthe last pic it looks like the "small ring" (I'm terrible with technical terms) has been reattached to the medal
at some time, or do all originals look like this?

many thanks

Looks fine to me, small ring also appears period.... can't tell if it's repaired or just made that way....deciding factor would be price....IMO.

Thanks for your swift reply!
It's 140 euros, I know it's not cheap, but I'm afraid it would be hard to find them any cheaper.
Except on eBay of course, but...
