Hello everybody I just found this forum by coincidence and stumbled across this thread. Let me say; great pictures!

I hope it's ok if I use this opportunity to ask what might be an off topic question in this thread. I've looked at the following pictures:

Why don't the first and last men carry the cloth band of the EK2 in the second buttonhole? Shouldn't they do when they have a Ritterkreuz or EK1?

The middle man has an EK1 and carries an EK2 on the chest. It's my understanding that they only carried the EK2 at official events, but still shouldn't he also carry the cloth band of the EK2?

I thought the cloth band was carried at all times?

Thanks for putting me right on that one. I'm not an expert on daggers. The men standing behind the officer are KM, part of a coastal detachment. I have photos of some of them in feldgrau uniforms and KM uniforms.
