Can someone provide some insight on the box of the flares:
-Difference between red and green?
-What does ecf 7.42 mean?
-I have only found one other box like this - it's in a museum. How rare are these and what type of value would it bring?

Concerning the flare gun - what is the average market value?

What would you value the box of flares?

Steibc01,
The box itself is unusual but certainly not unique.... flare gun is worth $250./500. depending on source.... unfired flares are potentially very dangerous, so most collectors prefer inert or fired examples.... depending on condition they go for $30./100.00 each...(empty).... the box might add $50.00 to the total value.... but I doubt you'd ever get some one to pay $200. to $600. for flares, even in the box. You might get closer selling them with the flare gun, but you can't mail live flares so makes it difficult.

I think your top values on the gun & flares are quite high. I'd say your bottom values are about right.
The box is uncommon, but not rare.
The flares can be sent by UPS or Fed X. They're classed as hazardous material and shipping costs a bit extra.
