These knives are postwar items, made at least 20 years ago, probably in the USA. I have seen the whole series, including Ku Klux Klan motif knives and SS knives in the same style made at the same time. I bought one new at a flea market about 10 years ago at a flea market for $8. But I have seen them sell for as much as $50, I'm not sure but I'd bet the buyers thought they were original.

Chris is correct. It is a pure fantasy piece. They are often found at gun shows, at least here in Virginia.

This Hitler knife, which is a J. A. Henckels Zwillingswerk limited edition. In 1976 Henckles fond the orginal mold and made 1800 of these pin knives then broke the mold. This knife was orginaly made for Hitler himself and given by Hitler to his personal brownsuit goose steppers. so when the Allies captured one of Hitlers brownsuit goose steppers and they had one of these pin knife's on them they would be killed so in order to avoid execution they would throw the knives away. 1976 I purchased with documentation from Henckel one 319th of 1800 that was made. After which the mold was destroyed.

Pinknife,
I've heard that story, and several variations there of.....I'm afraid Mark is correct in his jestful way.....you've also fallen for a complete B.S. story to give these cheap knifes added interest/collectibility....total Bull....anyone who says THESE knifes are wartime or from the original dies or made in limited numbers (the certificates may have been in limited numbers....not the knifes......) is misinformed!!!!! There are better quality examples...same general appearance, but all are total postwar fabrication, design, manurfacture.....reguardless of sales pitch......and have little/NO collector value!
Don't take offense....we've all been there and done that ourselves...."chosen unwisely" as they say.........
I'll also take a kilo, but send, wait....no, I'll pick it up......never mind....what were we talking about?

Hello there,

Nothing remotely close to these were ever produced during the years of the Third Reich, in my humble opinion

I dont want to be mean but.....

IMO it would have been rather strange to produce taschenmesser with swastikas after war (exspecially ZWILLING J.A. HENCKELS -). There is no way that it could have been possible in Germany after WK2. And other thing is that german wk2 blades are made using a sort of grindstone. These "repros" or fantasy items have punched blades. So they are completely diffrent from typical wk2 era blades. I wonder when there will be genuine SS or SA cellphones on the market?

Oh! Oh!
Now you have let the cat out of the bag concerning SS/SA cellphones.
I have Hitlers very own "RED PHONE"" that tied directly to his Chief of Staff.

What about this link?

I have one of the fakes made by Taylor Cutlery but the fellow in that link believes his was made in the thirties for the HJ.

I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it will be with a knife.

once, i discovered a badly worn over sharpened original ,not quite identical -- but with a very similar motif --- so i know knives like this were made,.....but a plethora of fakes abound -beware of them
