German Army troops under Bulgarian command?

Postby Philip S. Walker on 31 Mar 2011 10:14

I found this on Wiki, but it is a common know fact to people into Finnish history:

Wiki: Before the Continuation War, the Germans offered Mannerheim command over German troops in Finland, around 80,000 men.

The Finnish Marshall Mannerheim rejected the offer.

I wonder if there are similar examples of Bulgarian officers being offered high commanding posts over German troops in the period before operation Barbarossa.

Hope you can help.
