Cabas, Josip - died in Buenos Aires (Argentina) on December 24th 1980

Rušinović, Nikola - died in Philadelphia? (USA) in August 1993

Žanić, Milovan - died in Fermo (Italy) on August 1st 1946

Franjo Kvijic is Franjo Cvijić, who was the chief/president/governor/CEO of the NDH National Bank. I've seen various titles. He managed to arrive to Argentina by 1949.

Switzerland returned to Yugoslavia 1338 kilograms of gold in 1945. Out of that quantity 980 kilograms was NDH gold. The rest is not specified. In the period until 1958 Switzerland returned to Yugoslavia 2064 kilograms of gold. Yugoslavia was demanding 3243 kilograms of gold.

OSS Mission in Bern produced a report claiming that Josip Cabas tried to buy arms for Yugoslav Communist government after the war using NDH money. He was prevented by the Swiss.

In September of 1948 Yugoslavia got 8393 kilograms of gold from Italy, as a consequence of Peace Treaty (of Paris).

I tried to find his name by searching both in Spanish and in Slovak language, however it was in vain.

But, you might try to post your question in the sub-forum about Slovakia. There are better chances that the Slovaks could know what was name of the Slovak Ambassador in Madrid, than the Croats.

However, I can tell you that the former Slovak ambassador in Independent State of Croatia, Jozef Cieker, became the Slovak ambassador in Spain in 1944.

Slovak biography:
Cieker, Jozef. ( 21. 6. 1907 Krásna Hôrka na Orave-20. 1. 1969 Madrid). V rokoch 1927- 31 študoval
filozofiu na UK v Bratislave. V školskom roku 1931/32 absolvoval študijný pobyt na filozofickej fakulte v
Dijone. R.1932 obhájil doktorát z filozofie. Od 7.mája 1935 pracoval na Ministerstve zahraničných vecí v Prahe.
Po vzniku Slovenského štátu prešiel do služieb slovenského MZV. Od 1.septembra 1939 do apríla 1941 bol
chargé d´affaires slovenskej vlády pri juhoslovanskej vláde. Od 30. novembra 1941 do februára 1944 bol
vyslancom a splnomocneným ministrom v Chorvátsku. Od 16. februára 1944 do konca vojny bol vyslancom v
Španielsku, kde zostal aj po vojne. Ľudový súd v Bratislave ho 28.mája 1948 v neprítomnosti odsúdil na štyri
roky.

English tranlation:
Cieker, Jozef (21.VI.1907 born in Krásna Hôrka na Orave-20.I.1969 died in Madrid), studied philosophy at the Comenius University in Bratislava. In the academic year 1931/1932 spent a year at the Faculty of Philosophy in Dijon, France. In 1932 defended the dissertation and became PhD. As of May 7th 1935 worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Prague. After creation of the Slovak State entered Slovak MFA. He was Slovak charge d'affaires in Yugoslavia from September 1st 1939 until April 1941. From November 30th 1941 until February 1944 Ambassador and Minister Plenipotentiary in Croatia. From February 16th 1944 until the end of the war Ambassador in Spain, where he stayed after the war. People's Court in Bratislava sentenced him in absence to 4 years on May 28th 1948.
