Josef gundel - Hungarian tank commander

i am looking for information on a hungarian officer that was a tank commander 1944-45. his name was josef gundel, his family owned the famous ,"gundel's" resturant in budapest.

anyone know anything about him? any photos?

thank you, that is awesome!

actually, he was not my relative, he was my german professor at my military university(the Citadel) . he was a really great guy. he died my senior year in college. i even attended his funeral which was held in the university chapel.

i don't understand hungarian, which one would be joseph gundel?

First in the 2nd line from the right (sitting) in "light academics blouse".

okay. i wasn't sure if you counted the guys on top as a the first line by themselves are mixed in with the second row to be one long first line.

Unfortunately not :( But there exists an old book on hungarian officers; maybe I can check it out next week.

Orok is the professional of Hungarian Army (M.kir.Honvédség); I'm just interested in the hungarian waffen-ss :)
