Because in the alternate the Object has been delayed till the spring due to the weather

My thought is this, in both real life and alternate scenario, the attacks on Moscow stopped.. Whether due to counter attacks (real life) or inclement weather (alternate).. In real life, taifun was not resumed, why would it here?
