What if England and USA in 1944-45...
We know that Patton and Montgomery didn't like each other and a possible collapse between USA and England was Hitler's dream. If that happened, i think the German would have won the Battle of the Bulge and the war would have been much longer on the Western front maybe until the end of 1946 and the Soviet Union would have been the only country to defeat Germany and the Soviet Union would have conquer Western Europe!
It didn't happen, and wouldn't have happened because long before Eisenhower was chosen supreme commander.
The "war between the generals" will be an endless debate between partisans of Britain and the US, but the stakes were to high to let something stupid happen, MARKET GARDEN and the Huertgen excepted.

It would be very hard for the German army to achieve those goals because of lack of fuel and supplies for them. Even if the British and American generals have a "fight", they will still remain allies (at least until the war is over) because they have a common goal to destroy Germany.

This just wasn't going to happen. After all, the defeat and destruction of Nazi Germany were goals of utmost and paramount importance to both the U.S. and Britain during this time.Benoit Douville wrote:We know that Patton and Montgomery didn't like each other and a possible collapse between USA and England was Hitler's dream. Bingo! After all, both the political leaders and the generals in both the U.S. and Britain during this time certainly (and thankfully) weren't stupid!Linlu wrote:It would be very hard for the German army to achieve those goals because of lack of fuel and supplies for them.
