Don't know which boat this is, but been waiting for a picture like this for some time.
The deck around the flak gun is not standard-which is a cobweb pattern of squares-this boat has a cobweb pattern of planks.
So any clues would be welcome.

All taken at the same place, our mystery boat has different shipyard symbol and probably launched winter-time but boats have similar
features!

HI. I believe this is another picture of the commissioning of U 953.
The deck ,the number of crewmen at the flag, the position of the commander all point to this.

Yes, could be! I noticed on the commissioning foto link on the duck's topic 953, that the date is given as 1943, in fact it was dec 17 1942!
