Do you have an idea about this typ VIIc with a number " 5 " painted on the tower ? This isn't "U 5 im Einsatz" of course as mentioned on the title.

U 290 for exemple had a big number " 3 " painted on the lower part of the tower. This was a tactical number for exercises and U 290 had his tower broken during this training mission.

I am having trouble with this boat to give her a positive ID.


I think this boat is from the U 731 through U 750 series Schichau (Danzig).

This CT have some similarities like the CT of U 739 shown in page 4.


What do you think?

Hi There is a picture on the internet that is supposed to be U 469. The location is the same and the boat is very similar.
