Thanks Nobby.... A guy I know claims this was taken from U 873 After it surrendered in the states. Says he got it from an old man (who has since passed away) who worked in the naval yard where it was. Could this have been an emblem on the turm or perhaps mounted inside the boat? It measures 2 feet by 3 feet.

I recently have found on ebay this pictures:

According to Högel`s book this boat is U 22.

Hello to all :D; after a while a little more.................

U 24 - Summer 1939.

AFAIK until now, in the summer of 1939 (before the war) the U Bootwaffe experimented with several camouflage schemes, although apparently without positive results ...................

The U 97 returns to the naval base of St. Nazaire after one patrol in the Atlantic (3rd Patrol). May 1941.
