The picture was taken in 1940, in front of Toulon.
French submarines design was probably more developed than others.

German submarine schools were mainly based in Baltic sea. I do not know if there was such a school in Bergen: perhaps somebody can answer??? :idea:



Aerodynamic????

Either that submarine had some very unusual capabilities or the word hydrodynamic might have been more appropriate!

This month, in the French magazine "Marines et Forces Navales n°140", the publication of my article relating to the French submarine La Favorite, known as UF 2 in the Ubootwaffe. :)
