Hi Clio13,

So, ADM 234/68 is not a primary archival source at all, then.

This leaves us where we started - with absolutely no primary evidence that the alleged event ever took place and a good deal of evidence that it is, at the very least, unlikely to have taken place as described.

More interesting is the information on the Type XXIII U-boats on the same page.

Many thanks for going to the trouble of trying to track this tale to its source.
