Hi there,

the Type IXD is not U 178, but U 200.

The commissioning of the other Type IXB is U 122. Very nice pics indeed. Thanks for sharing. Within less than 3 months all the men were dead, when the boat went missing.

Kind regards

Axel

Hi The boat with the bombs U 122, is docked at Trondheim. The crane astride the wooden huts confirms this.

From the series U 171 through U 176.

The boat on the right is from the yard Deutsche Werft AG Hamburg.

Hi again boat could also be U 1061 and Hinrichs but I prefer U1062 either way the tracklines on it ID it as a VIIF boat.
Don't have a clue yet who the first guy is.

HI there,

The officer on the right hand photo is neither Albrecht nor Hinrichs, but Steen of U 233. Type VIIF-boats were not the only ones with Torpedo tracklines at the upper deck !!

hi,

Boat 1.

It looks like a boat from the 4TH Flotilla,i think this boat is from U 128 - U 131 series.

The walking men with moustache is......i think Fregkpt Heinz Fischer,i have seen him before in foto`s of a commissioned U-Boat.

Boat 2.

This boat was listed(not by me) in my archive as U 197(IX-D2).This is NOT a D2 but a IX-C/40.
it looks like U 190 commissioning,Max Wintermeyer is shaking hands with????
