Hello tommy303,

Thank you that you answered and trying to help me.
The problem is not so simple, than at a first glance, and you will see why.
1. The pedestal is 10,5 cm Ubts.L. C/32, so it's OK.
2. Sighting system-mechanism what notice well above the damping and recoil device of the gun is from 10.5 cm S.K. C/32, so it's Ok.
3. Barrel with her entire protection looks best with 10.5 cm Ubts u.s. Tbts. Flak L/45 C/16, so it is no longer OK.

U26 was a hybrid submarine , on wich have been tested a lot of systems that were applied later to the majority of German submarines.
It seems that we have, in this particulary situation , an experiment , on the way of designing and building the 10,5 cm S.K.C/32U .

With much sympathy and thanks,
VladAlex

It would appear that the two boats in question commissioned with 10,5cm SK L/45 on 10,5cm Ubts L C/32 mounting. I am told the guns were rechambered for the 10,5cm SKC/32 munitions, and the boats may have been regunned prior to or just after the start of the war.

All underlined not relevant to our discussion.
I enumerate in chronologically order , weapons aboard U 26 :
- 10,5cm Ubts.u.Tbts.Flak C/16 in 10,5cm Ubts.u.Tbts.L.C/16(Krupp) : picture nr. 1, 2, 3 .
- 10,5cm Ubts.u.Tbts.Flak C/16 in 10,5cm Ubts.L.C/32 with optical devices of SKC/32 mounted on gun. Picture nr. 4, 5, 6 .
- 10,5cm SK C/32 in 10,5cm Ubts.L.C/32 ! (Naval weapons of world war two, John Campbell) Picture nr. 7, 8 .
- 10,5cm SK C/32U in 10,5cm Ubts.L.C/32/35 .
At the bottom You can watch a picture explanatory .

Best Regards,
Vladalex.

In picture nr.1 is 10,5 cm SK. C/32 on Ubts.L. C/32 , the same gun from picture nr.7 (M.Skwiot....) from my post - Spanish Civil War.
In picture nr.2 is 10,5 cm SK. C/32 in 10,5 cm Ubts.L. C/32 , the same gun from picture nr.8 from my post, total different gun
if comparison with 10,5 cm SK. C/32U in 10,5 cm Ubts.L. C/32 are made.
I think your nr.2 picture, undated and unnamed is only another angle-shot picture of 1936 winter picture from Kiel harbour.
Conclusion: in your 2 picture's is the same gun, wich confirm I.Campbell afirmation from his bible-book.

Vladalex
