Hello!

Only one remark. If I am not wrong all forts on the right bank of Wisła in 1939 were blown up and planted. Those forts were demolished by Russian just prior I World War.

Hello to all :D; thanks for your remark DaSk . A question Fort Bema was captured by the German troops or was taken after the capitulation of Warsaw? TIA. Cheers. Raúl M 8-).

Hello Tigre. It is not a plan of Warsaw defence at 1939, but the plan of Russian fortress belts, built before 1914. As DaSk said, a part of the forts were demolished before WWI.

To see any plans of Warsawa defences, try to use Google Picture search with the key words obrona warszawy 1939.

http://pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twierdza_Warszawa
The Polish Wiki presents a history of the Warsaw forts and their present status, in Polish. More forts are identified than those on the map in this thread. Also the names associated with the Roman numeraled forts are presented.

Another site on the forts, also in Polish.
