Hi everyone,
I have already posted on the UK and Commonwealth board concerning this site and have discovered much about the German POWs at this camp from late 1944 onwards.

Firstly, I wonder if any of you Polish experts can help further with the Polish connections to Marbury Hall. On the Friends of Anderton and Marbury (FoAM) website there is a photograph of about 50 Polish soldiers.
I can only enjoin you to view it as I have not found a way of uploading it here, due to a lack of skill.

Bronislaw (Bruno) Dullek was one of these soldiers, and later a local resident, but died in 2012 before we could ask him more about his photograph which he gave us a copy of. We cannot be completely sure at the moment of the accuracy of the caption. The unit plaque seems to show K3W on it.
Can anyone positively identify this unit, or when exactly it was based in Marbury Hall? We know the camp was built to house a battalion, but there are only about 50 people in this photograph. What were these men a part of? Where did they go when they left Marbury, was it Italy, were they part of the Monte Cassino assault?
Is there any publication or contact you can recommend where I might be able to follow up?
Any help you can give would really be appreciated and will be acknowledged.
Secondly, our most famous German POW resident was Bert Trautmann, later Manchester City goalkeeper. His latest biography mentions Polish guards in May 1945. Where could we possibly find out about who they were?
Thank you all

The Marbury Hall website has been updated. Sadly no real change with Polish information yet. Can you help?
