I found another topic in this forum in which we can find several photos of French 75mm model 1922-1924 AA. From these photos, we can confirm the type of this artillery. You are correct, ROLAND1369
(PS: however, I don't know if this artillery was salvaged from the French Lamotte-Picquet or not.)

Thank you, I think they're looked similiar indeed

I said "most likely" not for shure from the French cruiser, as these were on board the ship.

No, the breach block is much bigger and some other details are different. I think it is a 90 mm CCA Mle 1926-30 on model 1931 carriage ("sur affût Mle 1931"), another naval AA gun.

Thanks, Emmanuel

I am a bit confused with the 90mm french AA guns. We have

90mm Mle 1926
90mm Mle 1926-30 sur affût Mle 31
90mm Mle 1926-30 sur affût Mle 32
90mm Mle 1932 sur affût Mle 1932
90mm Mle 1939

Which are the differencies between all of these models ?? :?

It seems that both these types of French AA, 75mm and 90mm, had firstly been designed and developed for naval air defense. Then, they were adapted/modified for ground-based batteries and even a mobile version (canon de 90 mm CA Mle 26-30 sur affût remorque Mle 1932).

I have posted Version 3 of my article on French 37 mm AA guns, with more info and a comparative photo of all of the rounds of ammo (I've had some replicas made from drawings). See: http://quarryhs.co.uk/37mmFrench.pdf Any comments welcomed!

Hi Emmanuel,

According to A. Chazette there were three different versions of the 90mm french AA guns:

version Marine de 90 mm fixe CCA Mle 26-30 sur affût Mle 31
version Marine de 90 mm CA Mle 26-30 sur affût remorque Mle 1932
version armée de terre DAT (défense antiaérienne du territoire) 90 mm mobile Mle 1939, 1939s et 1940

Which are the differencies between Mle 26-30 sur affût remorque Mle 1932 and 90 mm mobile Mle 1939, 1939s et 1940 ?? :?

Sturm78,

From what I understand:

1) The 90 mm Mle 1926-30 (90 mm CCA Mle 26-30 sur affût Mle 31) is the 90 mm Mle 1926 naval gun mounted on a new fixed carriage. It looks similar to the 75 mm CA Mle 1924.

See a picture here:
http://www.museeducasque.com/HTMeng/MIC004eng.htm

or here:
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic. ... 7#p1532907

2) The 90 mm Mle 1932 is the gun that Alain Chazette calls "90 mm CA Mle 26-30 sur affût remorque Mle 1932". You can see that the mounting including the recoil mechanism looks very different from the Mle 26-30 above. The tube itself looks different too. You posted pictures of the Mle 32 here  :
viewtopic.php?f=70&t=111267&start=1710

It was identified by Guy François as "canon de 90 modèle 1932/C 1932 sur affût M.C.A modèle 1932 de 90".

3) The 90 mm Mle 1939 has big arms with pullies. It looks like a Mle 1932 with a lighter mobile carriage. See the thread about 9 cm Flak M39(f) here:

Hi Emmanuel,

Do you know which is the correct designation: 90 mm CA Mle 26-30 sur affût remorque Mle 1932 or 90mm modèle 1932/C 1932 sur affût M.C.A modèle 1932 ??

It seems that this gun had a lateral shield...
