Hi, Did Hotchkiss 13.2 mm was incorporated into French infantry division as AA weapon ? Some information shows French adopted Orelikon AA 20mm in regimental level and Hotchkiss 25mm in divisional level (BCA). So how about 13.2 mm ?
Chinese 60th Army based in Yunnan imported many weapon from France in 1930's they used FM-24 LMG as squad weapon, Hotchkiss 1914mle as battalion weapon and used Hotchkiss 13.2 mm as special AA team for regimental level, did French do something like this or French influence them to do this ? Thank

Re: Hotchkiss 13.2mm Mle 1930
hello
as precised in this thread by his author The Edge this armament didn't serve to equip Infantry Divisions but in the Défense Aérienne du Territoire
this means that such arms were with the independant 13.2mm machine-gun companies ~97 compagnies de mitrailleuses de 13.2mm & 8 mm de DAT (or FTA) completing the Regional Anti-Aircraft Defense Commands in the keys-military-industrial-urban points troughout the French territory from the Pyrénées to Flanders (less 9 companies in North Africa)

Re: Hotchkiss 13.2mm Mle 1930
Hello, Loic, thank for your information.
But French infantry divisions were relatively weak in AA power. DIM only had 4 x Orelikon 2cm in each RI and DCA 6 x Hotchkiss 25mm in divisional artillery regiment. I don't see any DCA or other AA guns in DI, if depolying some 13.2mm MG in DI or DIM is better option ? Thank

No finnish army never adopted this gun. The 13,2 that is in pictures is domestic design of Aimo Johannes Lahti.
