Hello,

did the French send any military advisors or military missions to South America in the 1920s-early 30s, especially Venezuela ?

Gamelin was leading a military mission in Brazil for several years (probably some exil) .

Not only Gamelin but also Huntziger (commanding in 1940 the 2nd Army then 4th Group of Armies)
Whole Latin America received a strong french military influence during the XIXth century, if Brasil remained faithful to the french military influence others, beginning by Chile, adopted the Prusso-german model and sent military missions in the others states like in Venezuela.
But after the Great War according to Adrian English Venezuela contracted a French military and air missions in 1921-1924
