Free France vs Vichy France in Africa

I understand that Vichy France in Africa used French equipment, and that the Free France forces were supplied with British equipment, but were there any Free French still using French equipment at the start of hostiles between the two in the middle east and Africa? I am just curious if there were any French equipment on French equipment battles, such as the tanks. I read somewhere that the Free French Foreign Legion still used mostly French gear, but they had a few tommy helmets here and there, but did the rest basically just look like British forces with all of their gear replaced? I haven't been able to find much hard data at all in a days searching.
