I just just returned from a trip touring battlefields in northern France and Belgium. We visited the beautiful Noyers-Pont-Maugis German Military Cemetery. In that cemetery we found at 12 graves of German soldier who died in June, July and August 1945 and are buried near each other in the cemetery. We were surprised that so many died after the war.

Does anyone know why this occurred?
