Jan 28th 1932 Incident? sino - Japanese war, etc

the Waldeck Rousseau came up from Saigon to Shanghai to join two gunboats---can anyone assist me in tracking down the dates and the names of the gunboats? Ar there other French flagged ships affected? Secondly with the implementation of the blockade on Sept 5, 1937 werethere any incidents involving merchant ships--perhaps being stopped by Japanese naval vessels? Many thanks in advance.

hello
I am not really specialist of La Royale but it seems that the cruiser Waldeck-Rousseau arrived in Changhaï the 10th february 1932 coming from Manilla (30th january) via Halong bay

it seems that the Naval Forces of the Far East (F.N.E.O) Forces Navales d'Extrême-Orient had the following ships in this area in 1932
Avisos
Altaïr (Changhaï)
Algol (Hankéou)
Craonne (Amoy --> Changhaï)
Tahure (Hong Kong --> Changhaï)
Gunboats
Argus (Canton)
Balny (Itchang --> Hankéou)
Francis Garnier (Hankéou --> Nankin)
Lagrandière (Hong Kong)
Doudart-de-Lagrée (Chuncking)

coming from this french newspaper dated 3rd february 1932 indicating where they were located and the orders they received :

Merci Loic. Many thanks, the article and your notes help fround out the time and events of 1932. Hope I can encourage you to share anything you may find during the Sino -Japanese war of 1937. If you are able to refer me to a site, I will improve my French and try. Again many thanks.
