I visited "Musee 39-45" near Calais a while ago. Inside the museum, there was a small presentation for the Légion des volontaires français, LVF.

What is that written in here, can anybody help?

hi ,
Here is the whole translation:

Jacket of the Second Lieutenant Benard
"Légion des Volontaires Français"
Benard join the LVF on the 25th of July 1941, with his rank of Adjutant in the French Army.
He was promoted into the rank of Second Lieutenant into the LVF.
This soldier is wearing his french awards on the left side of his breast but are in german order.
The awards are following.
1 Croix de guerre 1914-1918
2 Croix du combattant 1914-1918
............................
........................
Further you can read that the jacket was found on a second hand market (Puces) in Paris in the '80 and was later sold to a belgian collector.
The museum buy the jacket in 2006.
We note also that we can see the name of the tailor "Thorn" (and the adress of the tailor is following)

Hope it help's
Sorry for my poor english
Regards from Belgium
Prosper

For those who are interested, the museum of which it is question is of other than the " Musée 39-45 Ambleteuse " based in the North of France.

More information on their site : http://www.musee3945.com/index_GB.htm
