Most images seem to suggest that they didn't, but i'm not entirely sure. I was also wondering what the black thing the guy on the left is wearing? I've seen several troops wearing them in photos, but I haven't been able to figure out what it is.

Royal Navy Inflateable life belt


Many Torch troops were wearing HBT jackets and trousers. Typically only rank insignia was worn on HBT, For Enlisted either sew on Chevrons or stenciled/painted on.

2nd Armored division was known to wear their Division patch on the HBT's
