Re: US - Request for Identification
I believe the sixth picture is Frank Jack Fletcher. Medal of Honor at Vera Cruz in 1914, Carrier Task Group Commander and victor at Coral Sea, Midway, and Eastern Solomons, actions at attempted relief of Wake Island and Guadalcanal badly misrepresented by Morison's Official History of U.S. Navy in World War II, end up as commander of North Pacific Area at end of war as VADM.

Re: US - Request for Identification
I'll have to search for another Admiral with a Medal of Honor. These are WW II pictures, correct?

Re: US - Request for Identification
This is a US Rear Admiral and with his etnic background I doubt that he was an admiral during the war, but I may stand corrected.

Re: US - Request for Identification
The US Navy did have a distinguished Chinese-American officer during the Second World War. However, I'm not sure when Rear Adm. Gordon Pai'ea Chung-Hoon was promoted to admiral, nor am I sure that this is the same person as the one in ttvon's photo.
God bless.
