Could be this Vice Admiral, Bernard A. Clarey, except he is not wearing glasses. He might have started wearing glasses later on after this picture was taken. Here's his wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_A._Clareyttvon wrote:Thank you very much!

I do not think so.
The pic is taken in ww2,so he is not Bernard A. Clarey.
Also he does not look like Clarey.

All right, I'll keep looking, didn't know the pic was taken during WW2.

I think 14353.jpg is Rear Admiral William B. Young (SC).
But I am not sure.Does anyone agree with me?

Re: Who are the two officers?
Nope, can't be Young. Young was Supply Corps; your submariner is a line officer.
Re: Who are the two officers?
Look like Vice Admiral Willis Augustus Lee, Jr.ttvon wrote:Hi,ttvon wrote:Thank you very much!

Re: Who are the two officers?
nope, not Lee, not even close. Lee wore glasses, and was not a submariner. Gent in the picture has 3 awards of the Navy Cross, Lee had but one.
Re: Who are the two officers?
The picture is a picture of Chick Clarey, I'm 100% sure.

Re: Post # 3 . . .
I was re-reading Clay Blair's Silent Victory and stumbled across a photo quite by accident after all these years, but the Vice Admiral in the first photo appears to be James Fife, Jr.
The same photo in Blair can be seen here: http://pwencycl.kgbudge.com/F/i/Fife_James_Jr.htm
Looks like the guy. I've read elsewhere that Fife actually went on a war patrol aboard one his subs while he was ComSub7thFlt which, if nothing else, garnered him the combat patrol badge which you see under his ribbons.

Re: Who are the two officers?
To be clear, Fife is the VAdm in the first photo of the 3d post in this series. Shown there is not a WW2 photo, Fife retired in 1955 and received a tombstone promotion to Admiral.
