Abbreviation help

#1

Post by Steen Ammentorp » 23 Mar 2011, 20:13

I am looking for the meaning of the abbreviation SADPC.

BG Michael Frank Davis (USAAF) held the position as Commanding General SADPC 1945-1946, first at Boca Ranton, Florida then San Antonio, Texas.

Any help would be abbreciated.
Kind Regards

I know this is an old thread, but I just saw it and hope this helps. I see no mention of an SADPC and found no match on google. I have found things ending in PC in a google search, which seem to denote "Personnel Command." That being said, if I had to guess, taking into account station within the Continental US and also in the Southern half of the US, that it could be something along the lines of a Strategic Air Defense Personnel Command, but with no google hits, I just have no way of knowing.

Here is his bio according to the USAF, which doesn't make any mention of SADPC, but spells out his assignments.

The SA could also denote San Antonio, but I don't know how they would have structured that.

South Denver Anesthesiologists PC?

1945-46 "Commandant of the Technical School at Boca Raton Airfield" I'm wondering if the acronym is a typo of some sort?
