The Title doesn't give me enough space to explain the story. The interesting story about Captain Edward Vernon Rickenbacker, who was America's top pilot in WW1. His record of twenty-six planes shot down stood in World War II until 1944. In 1942, his plane, along with his crew crash landed in the South Pacific. I'll link you to the full story, because it has photos and other interesting stories about pilots who got shot down/crash landed in the ocean during WW2.
