What happened to the records of men that were classified as 4F during WWII? A close relative was classified 4F and I wonder if his record survived.
Thanks!

Re: WWII 4F list available?
AFAIK someone classified as 4-F would have no real record in the armed forces. If a prospective inductee was classified as unfit for service, that would be the extent of his record. If someone was inducted and then reclassified as 4-F, he would probably have been given a medical discharge and that would be the extent of his service record.
With the number of selective service inductees during the war, there were likely a number of those who seemed fit upon induction and later showed medical or physical problems (or behavioral/psychological problems) that were not obvious initially.
