hey all,
i have the full speech that was given by the polish ambassador to the US on sep 1st 1939.
the only problem is that i can not find out who he was. i thought at one stage it was Jan Ciechanowski but he became ambassador in 1941.
any help would be fantastic.

thanks

Hi,
I'm pretty sure Jerzy Potocki was the Polish ambassador in Washington back then.

See this Wikipedia article and THIS - here especially scans of his correspondence to Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, signed "Jerzy Potocki, Ambasador R. P."

Regards
MJU
