filching supplies and selling on the black market as post-war stereotypes suggest?

Seems to me being in a cushy job would make one more earnest and honest since there was little fear of being sent into combat.

You know, we read in some works how the Zone of the Interior supply folks abused provisions meant for the fighting line. Lee comes in for a great deal of abuse.

Is this so?
