I have 3/18 Garhwal arriving N.Africa June 1942, but no leaving date, did it stay long?
I know it flip-flopped between 10th & 20th Indian Infantry Brigades.

Might this question be answered in "Loyalty & Honour"?

According to Volume Eight of The British Armies in World War Two - An Organizational History, by David Hughes, David Ryan, and Steve Rothwell, after being destroyed at Sidi Rezegh on 18 June 1942, the 3rd Battalion was reformed as part of the 20th Indian Infantry Brigade in Egypt before being transferred to Cyprus with the 10th Brigade in late August 1942. The later half of 1943 saw it in Syria with the 25th Indian Infantry Brigade before going to Italy in March 1944, where it finished the war (still with the 25th Brigade, 10th Indian Infantry Division).
