13th Lt AA Regiment?

I have them at Alexandria (or thereabouts) in January 1941.

Did they move up to Tobruk? Because I see them with some 20mm Breda guns in 37th Bty.

No equipment listed in 38th & 122nd Btys, but I'm assuming 40mm Bofors.

& a 1st Bty with 105/41. An Italian (I assume) gun with which I am not at all familiar.

It would not surprise me if a fair number of Bredas were captured intact in the Sidi Barrani camps during the opening stages of Op. COMPASS. The LRDG had some from an early stage IIRC and later on I think the SAS did too.

Michael.
Yes, of course, the Bredas could have made it back to the rear echelons, rather than th 13th having moved up to the front line.

Do you have an angle on the equipment in the other 3 batteries?

Not at the moment. Have you tried a search of the forum? Seems like there was a discussion on this topic a while back, although it may not have touched on this specific regiment.

Michael;.

No I haven't. If it didn't involve, or might not have involved the 13th, what do you suggest I use as a keyword for the search?

David.

Since I have not myself had great luck with the search function on this forum, I am probably not the best person to ask...but you might try "British AA regiments North Africa" and see if that turns up anything.
