Good morning all. I'm trying to find a table of Australian WW2 casualties listed by theatre. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction please?

POWs recovered i would presume would mean following the wars ending and not who escaped/swapped/released/rescued etc?

OK,the Official history states recovered means survived captivity--either liberated in 1945,escaped or repatriated, exchanged.

The above figures also exclude Australians serving with other forces, the RAF,RN etc.

It also excludes Papuan New Guinean force losses of 85 killed,201 wounded during the war.

Civilian deaths of 735 are also not included( bombing of Darwin,Rabaul captives, merchant seamen etc).
