Royal Marines, October 1922
Can anyone elaborate on the landing and service of the force used during the Kailuan Mining strike in north China at this time period? As many as 50,000 miners from six different colliers, etc. were involved and British troops worked in tandem or seprately from Chinese troops of Wu Peifu. I assume they were Royal Marines, but they could have been a shore party from ships of China Station. Looking for ID of units, strength, chronology as much as possible and record of movement of any ships involved. Many thanks in advance.
